Why is a plant-based diet better than other diets?

It’s All About the Benefits…

Let’s face it, there are a TON of diets and diet plans out there. From low-carb to high-protein to keto to Weight Watchers, and everything in-between. You name it, and there’s probably a diet plan designed around it.

I plan on exploring the pros and cons of many of these plans (and creating more pages on these topics) in the future. 

For now, here’s what I can tell you: I lost over 70 pounds following a plant-based diet.

  • I didn’t have to starve myself.
  • I didn’t have to shock my body.
  • I didn’t have to count carbs.
  • I didn’t even have to work out every day. 

I just had to commit to making better, healthier decisions about what I ate.

I can also tell you that I tried a few other strategies/plans before the plant-based diet and none of them were as effective for me. 

  • I tried eating less and exercising more, but had trouble sticking with it.
  • I tried counting calories, but that just seemed to rub it in when I ate too much.
  • I also tried a shake-based diet, but I plateaued after losing a fraction of my weight-loss goal.

A plant-based diet is simple and safe. Once you figure out your favorite plant-based foods and work them into an ongoing menu, you just stick with it and watch the pounds fall off. 

You may even discover some new favorite dishes in the process!

Plus, maintaining your weight after you lose your extra pounds is relatively easy. You just reintroduce your old favorites gradually (if you decide to reintroduce meat and dairy products into your meals).

Then, if you start to reach the top of your ideal weight window, you simply switch back to plant-based meals until your weight’s back where you want it to be.

It’s almost like adjusting the temperature on a thermostat.

You won’t find that with most other diet plans!

Along with making it easy to lose weight, a plant-based diet also offers benefits like:

  • More energy.
  • Increased mental clarity.
  • Less depression and anxiety.
  • Decreased risk of cancer, stroke, and Alzheimer’s.
  • And many other natural benefits…
